| Pam Rhodes has been the familiar face of BBC Television’s Songs of Praise series for more than twenty years, having cut her teeth in news journalism especially at Anglia Television where she is wellknown as a local presenter. Songs of Praise has taken her around the world, compering televised events from the Sydney Opera House to the Royal Albert Hall, as well as talking to high profile interviewees ranging from The Pope to Dolly Parton! Having earned herself a reputation as a sensitive interviewer, she was asked to record archive interviews with the founder of the Hospice Movement, Dame Cicely Saunders, looking in-depth at her motivation, achievements and vision for the future in this vital area of work. Pam is also a mainstream author with five novels and eight factual books under her belt, as well as being a popular speaker for a wide range of gatherings and events. Pam has been involved with Keech for over two decades and has been actively involved in the development of the adult and children's hospices ever since. She says: “I was inspired by Dame Cicely’s wish that everyone should have the chance to ‘live every moment of their life’ in spite of terminal illness and I saw that the Keech hospices give people that chance, and more. As an Ambassador, I am totally committed to creating a professional but loving environment for local patients and families at challenging times in their lives.” Pam is currently fronting our Walk of Life campaign and will be lending her support to our hospices throughout the year. > Pam supports our Walk of Life pathway |
