Over the last twenty years, the environment in which the charity works and the types of people that it supports have changed (e.g. more diverse population; different medical conditions; increased regulation). Coupled with the reforms underway in health and social care, it is a good time for the charity to review its strategic direction.
As part of the strategic review process, the charity needs to ensure its core purpose remains valid; its beneficiaries are getting the most from the charity; and the organisation is financially secure and well run.
