Our Santa Runs are a 5km festive fun run, suitable for all the family!
Our 2009 Santa Runs raised an expected £70,000 for our hospices with people in the towns of Stevenage, Bedford and Luton really getting in the festive fundraising spirit!
The first Santa Run was in Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage, which had 100 Santas turning out, raising £10,000 for our children’s service. Keech supporter, Billy Byrne from DIY SOS, came along to support the festive fun runners.
Next came our Bedford Santa Run, which saw 236 Santas streaming down the Embankment to raise over £20,000 for our children’s service. Heart radio breakfast presenters, Emma and Tony, got the Santas underway and encouraged them around the two lap course to the finish line.
The final Santa Run came to Wardown Park in Luton on Sunday 13th December, raising an expected £40,000 for our adult hospices. TV legend, Basil Brush, warmed up the crowd of 305 Santas with the help of Heart radio star, Richard Straffon
We would like to say a big thank you to all our runners, walkers, cheerers and volunteers who made all three Santa Runs a huge success!
