| Kidz 4 Keech is a dress-up day for your nursery – a chance for the children to get all the enjoyment of dressing up in return for a small donation to our children's hospice (we suggest £1 per child). You could create a theme for your day – party wear, fancy dress, favourite characters, beach party – or just leave it as a free choice! This will take very little effort to organise and we’ll provide everything you need. Why take part?
Participating in Kidz 4 Keech has many benefits. You could use the day to: - Introduce children to the idea of fundraising and helping others in their community.
- Help develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of their world – E.g. choose a theme such as ‘People who help you’, get children to dress up as nurses, doctors, police/ fire officers etc and plan an activity that helps them recognise these different roles.
- Support many of the principles of the EYFS – helping the children to be creative; understand feelings (perhaps by talking about how it feels when someone is ill); and learn through active play and exploration.
How to join in
