The palliative care centre offers a warm and friendly welcome to people requiring support and advice. Our aim is to maximise and enhance your quality of life by offering a range of services.
The team is made up of experienced nurses, carers, doctors, therapists, trained volunteers and other professionals including a palliative care social worker, chaplains, counsellors and bereavement workers.
We offer a range of services which include:
- Doctors clinics for symptom control and on going
monitoring of symptoms - Nurse led clinics for symptom control and emotional support
- Specialist social worker advice and support
- Weekly visits that may be part or full days
- Drop in sessions
- Complementary therapies
- Music therapy
- Creative arts
- Spiritual support
- Relaxation
- Emotional support
- Support with future planning
- Blood transfusions and bisphosphate infusions

There are many outside spaces to enjoy, quiet lounge areas, dedicated art room, and hydrotherapy pool.
On your first visit the professional will meet with you and together you will identify the goals you wish to achieve whist you are visiting the palliative care centre. They will then arrange a plan of care that helps you achieve these goals. This may include all or some of the services listed above.
