All our patients have free access to our hydrotherapy pool and spa, located on the hospice site.
The facility consists of a 16.5m pool and a six-seater spa. It is carefully designed to cater for the needs of the frail and disabled of all ages.
What is a hydrotherapy pool?
A hydrotherapy pool is very different to a general public swimming pool.
Key features:
- The water is kept at a constant temperature of 34°C and the spa at 38°C, providing a lovely warm environment.
- There is special sensory lighting, an underwater music system and a number of water fountains to make the experience all the more enjoyable.
- Plus the facility comes complete with hoists, ramps and a disabled changing room to ensure it is accessible to everyone.
