The cast from award-winning hit show Legally Blonde The Musical took a break from their country-wide tour to travel to Keech Hospice Care and do a very special one-off performance for the children cared for by the hospice.

On Thursday 2 August the cast visited Keech to perform a selection of songs from the show alongside other well-known hits from West End musicals. For many of the children who are living with devastating and life-limiting conditions this will be their first experience of a live theatre performance.

The visit is being organised by Paul Eccles who got in touch with the hospice on behalf of the crew to offer this special one off performance. Paul, whose father works as a volunteer at Keech, said: “I am so excited about our upcoming performance at Keech Hospice. All the wonderful work Keech does in providing patients and their families with loving care and support, underpinned by their dedicated staff and volunteers, really serves as a reminder as to what is truly important in life. As patients and their families don't often have much opportunity to attend the theatre, we decided to bring the theatre to the hospice.”

Jennie Collier, Day Care Coordinator said: “The children and their families can’t wait for the show. We are very grateful to the cast of Legally Blonde for taking time out to come and visit us. We love to have visitors here at the hospice and let people see first-hand what a wonderful and lively place it really is.”

Legally Blonde is currently touring around the UK and will be in Milton Keynes from 31 July – 11 August. For more information visit www.legallyblondethemusical.co.uk
