13 – 17 February 2012 - Don't put it off!
If you care about what happens to your property and possessions after your death, you should make a will and keep it updated. If you commit to making a donation to Keech Hospice Care, a local solicitors will help to write a basic will for you. You could save up to 50% on the cost.
It really couldn’t be simpler – just contact one of the solicitors below to make an initial appointment during the week of 13 – 17 February quoting Keech Hospice Care. The appointment does not have to be during that week, just the initial contact.
The solicitor will not charge you for their time for writing a basic will, but solicitors are giving their time in return for you making a suggested donation of £80 for a single will or £120 for a joint will - a huge saving on their normal costs.
Not all wills are ‘basic’ and if this is the case for you, the solicitor will tell you so you can agree a revised fee before going ahead. The solicitor will write your will following your instructions and in accordance with the Solicitors Code of Conduct 2007 published by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, acting for you exclusively and confidentially.
Gifts in wills
When making a will, many people decide to include a gift to charity. Supporters who remember Keech Hospice Care in their will are using one of the most effective ways to help our hospices continue their vital work. It costs you nothing now and your legacy will be exempt from inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax.
There is no obligation to include Keech in your will but, if you do, it could do an immeasurable amount of good for generations to come.
