5 July 2011
Each year we hold the Light up a Life dedication and remembrance service. These very special events give local people the opportunity to come together with others who have experienced a loss and take a moment to celebrate and remember the life of a much loved friend or relative.
Last year, it was necessary to move the service to another venue because of building works here at the hospice. The building work has now all finished and this years service will be returning to the hospice.
In response to feedback we are holding two Light Up A Life services on two consecutive Sundays - 27 November 2011 and 4 December 2011.
Please add these dates to your diary. More details are to follow.
Mike Keel, Chief Executive of Keech Hospice Care said: 'I am delighted we are able to hold our annual Light Up A Life event back at the hospice this year. Now we have completed all our building works we feel we can safely accommodate this popular event back onsite. However, we will still need to restrict numbers to 500 attendees and for this reason we will be holding two events to make sure nobody misses out. We hope people will take the opportunity while attending to see our Walk of Life paths and maybe consider purchasing a brick in memory of the person to whom they are dedicating a light.'
