Home interior shopping gets easier in Harpenden!

1 August 2011

Shoppers waiting in lineShoppers looking for quality home interiors at great value prices were spoilt for choice following the opening of Harpenden’s second Keech Hospice Care Charity shop last Friday, 29th July at 10.30am.

Situated on the High Street, the new Harpenden shop is dedicated to a stylish range of home wares, including furniture, lighting, curtains, rugs and ornamental pieces. That will leave its sister store, located just a few doors away, to build a stronger fashion focus. Both shops trade Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, with the new home ware store also opening on a Sunday from 11am to 4pm. All profits support the care Keech offers to local children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Shop Manager, Pamela Collins said: “After seeing our firstHarpenden Home Harpenden shop flourish, we’re really looking forward to welcoming customers to our new home ware store. While we’ve been preparing the shop, passers by have been eager to see it open so we’re sure it will be a successful and welcome new addition to the town. At the same time, everyone who shops with us will be making a valuable contribution to the children’s hospice, helping it to continue caring for local families.”

The new shop is currently appealing for volunteers to carry out a wide variety of roles such as customer service, preparing window displays and merchandising. It is also asking for local people to donate good quality pieces of furniture and other home furnishings. These can be delivered to the store during opening hours or, for larger items or loads, the store can arrange a collection.
