Our Santa Runs kick off in Stevenage!

One hundred Santas gathered in Fairlands Valley Park on Sunday to take part in our Santa Run in Stevenage, which is expected to raise £10,000 for our children’s service.

Billy Byrne with Santa runnersThis is the first time we have held the 5km fun run in the town and we are delighted with the amount of local support the event received.

Festive music poured out as local fun runners, dressed head to toe in Santa’s famous red suit, gathered at the starting line.

Keech supporter, Billy Byrne from BBC’s DIY SOS, started the festive run runners off and cheered them on all the way to the finish line.

The runners returned at various times throughout the morning and, on their return, the tired Santas were rewarded with medals and goodie bags.

First to complete the run was Warren Herridge, aged 16 from Stevenage, in a very fast 21 minutes.

Thank you to all the festive fun runners who made the Santa Run a great success for our children's service.
