| Every year our fundraising department face the huge challenge of ensuring enough support is generated from our community to help meet the running costs of our two hospices. There are many ways that volunteers can support the fundraising team and helping in this way can be one of the most flexible means of volunteering at Keech Hospice Care. Whereas some voluntary work involves a fairly set commitment in terms of days and times, as a fundraising volunteer you can choose to help us on a regular basis or just at occasional events. There is also more scope within fundraising to help during evenings and weekends so if you need to fit in your voluntary work with other daytime commitments then this could be the best match for you. Here are just some of the ways you can help us in this area of work: - Giving short talks about the charity or collecting cheques on our behalf (after training)
- Delivering and picking up our collection boxes
- Helping with street or store collections in your area
- Assisting in the running of our weekly lottery
- Helping with a wide range of fundraising events in the local community (including set up and break down, helping on stalls, marshalling etc)
- Forming a community support group to run events and raise awareness
- Joining our Fundraising Committee that helps to plan and organise a number of specific events
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as photocopying, inputting data and putting together mailings.
