Our patron and ambassadors - Robert Voss

Robert was appointed by HM The Queen as the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire in August 2017 having spent over 40 years as a commodity trader running his own business for nearly 30 of those years.

Since his first visit to Keech in 2018 and meeting his “good friend Jacob,” Robert has become a fan of the hospice. “When I first visited Keech I was under the impression that a hospice was all about death. As soon as I walked through the doors I realised how wrong I was-it is a place that was all about life”.

Robert is a patron/President of over 20 charities and voluntary organisations. He set up the hospice wishlist appeal which supported local hospices including Keech during the pandemic.

I look forward to my role as an ambassador for Keech – to spreading the word of the amazing work being done at Keech, and the wonderful feeling of life and fun around the place and amongst the devoted staff
