Smiley Sam raises £41,000

20 January 2017

Dear editor,

Thank you to all our wonderful local people for the support and generosity shown to our Smiley Sam train and Santa this Christmas as they travelled the streets of Luton and the surrounding areas spreading much cheer and joy.

Smiley Sam’s tour has now come to an end and we are proud to announce he raised a remarkable £41K for Keech Hospice Care. This could help contribute to paying for our nurses this year helping us care for adults and children, and their families, at a time in their lives they need us the most. Every year we need to raise £5.2 million, so we are enormously grateful to our local community for their continued support.

Like Santa, Smiley Sam is now taking a well-earned rest. In the meantime, we have some amazing fundraising events taking place throughout 2017 and we would love you to get involved. Take a look and sign up. Get involved: If not now, then when? www.keech.org.uk/whats-on/your-events-guide-2017.

With our thanks

Liz Searle, CEO, Keech Hospice Care
