Visitor Covid-19 testing update – January 2021

13 January 2021

With the continuing coronavirus situation, we are taking further precautions to maintain the safety and wellbeing of our patients, families, staff and volunteers by asking all visitors to undertake a nose and throat swab test when arriving at the hospice.

The lateral flow test will need to be completed before family members can visit patients in our adult and children’s in-patient units. Visitors must complete a test every day they visit the hospice and wear full PPE during their visit (which will be provided).

As part of the testing process, visitors will need to provide some basic personal information in order for our team to be able to register tests online and for visitors to receive their test results (form attached). All personal information collected as part of the testing process will be safe guarded in line with our Confidentiality Policy and Procedure.

Please note that visitors with Covid-19 symptoms must not come into the building for a Covid test. They must visit their regional/local test centre or apply for a home testing kit. For further information please visit https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
