Getting sponsored

You name it - daring, daunting or plain daft - if you're willing to do it, people will sponsor you!

Start by downloading a sponsorship form and then:

  • Start early
  • Go to your most generous sponsors first
  • Contact those you can’t see face to face
  • Ask about ‘matched giving’ at work
  • Carry your sponsorship form at all times
  • Give copies of your form to friends and family to raise sponsorship on your behalf
  • Organise an online sponsor page (see below)
  • Download our sponsorship guide for more information.

You can create your very own Keech Hospice Care online giving page. Just click here and ‘Fundraise for us’ to follow the simple on-screen instructions and create your fundraising page within minutes. Email the link to friends and family, and share it on social media. Alternatively, you can use sites such as Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving.

Create a fundraiser on Facebook, just head to our fundraisers page to start collecting donations today. All money raised via Facebook fundraising comes straight to us and there’s no charge for their services.

All you have to do is set a target and end date, add a title and a short description about why you’re raising money. Then choose a lovely cover photo and click create. Once you’ve done that, remember to post about your fundraiser and invite your friends and family to donate. It’s as simple as that!

gift aid

If your sponsors are UK taxpayers, please encourage them to tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsorship form and on Facebook. For every £1 they give, Keech Hospice Care receives 25p from HM Revenue and Customs. Sponsors must supply their full home address and postcode for us to be able to claim Gift Aid.

You must contact your sponsors. Some people may be happy for you to still donate the money, but you must give them the option.

For further guidance, please contact our fundraising team on 01582 707940 or email us at letmehelp@keech.org.uk.
