Our support for family goes global
Coverage of our Royal visit yesterday has reached unprecendented heights with press picking up the story as far afield as New Zealand, Canada, Malaysia and Australia! Closer to home, we received coverage in The Times, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Daily Telegraph, Luton News and the Herts Advertiser. In addition, the visit was covered by BBC Look East and BBC Three Counties Radio.
In the Times clipping above, the focus was on HRH The Duke of Cambridge sharing memories of his own mother's death with one of our families. Ben Hines, 14, lost his mother at the hospice last summer. Prince William put his hand on Ben's arm and said: "Time makes it easier." He also spoke about how he still 'misses his mother every day'.
Keech Hospice Care continues to provide essential support after the loss of a loved one. The Hines family have taken part in music and art therapy sessions as well as pre- and post-bereavement support at the hospice.
I know how you feel, I still miss my mother every day and it's 20 years after she died.
